Serving the Church
“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” - 1 Peter 4:10-11
There are many opportunities to serve at Citylife — from Worship Ministry to Welcome Team. Serving at church remains an active and integral part of the life of the members of Citylife.
-
The Welcome Team seeks volunteers to help set up 30 minutes before the service, greet visitors and members as they come in, and stick around after the service to talk with people at the Connect Table. If you’re interested in joining or have questions, please email charlotte@citylifeboston.org.
-
The Usher Team works with the Welcome Team to help create a ministry of hospitality and care for those attending Sunday service. Specifically, ushers are responsible for the flow of traffic inside the sanctuary and execution of Citylife’s Safety Plan. Email Nam Hee if you are interested!
-
Whether you are newer to prayer or want to continue deepening your prayer life with God, we encourage you to come by morning prayer! We are a group of everyday people who believe our prayers matter to Him and are pleasing to Him through Jesus. We meet weekly at 9:30am Sunday before service to be filled up by God, pray for His power and presence in our church, and intercede for needs locally and globally.
-
The Communion Team helps prepare the elements of Communion every first and third Sunday of the month. We meet 1 hour before service, fill the trays with the elements and help clean up after service. Please email benton@citylifeboston.org for more information on how you can serve and be a part of this team!
-
The Citylife Men’s Ministry seeks to gather men of all ages and life stages to cultivate spiritual friendships as we walk alongside one another and live into God’s calling and purpose for our lives.
Please contact men@citylifeboston.org if you are interested in serving with or supporting the Men's Ministry.

Worship Ministry seeks to cultivate fellow worshippers through music and the arts that bear theological and artistic integrity, pursue grace-based diversity, and reorient us to our Triune God. Our team serves in the areas of music, media, and operations, which is essential for Sunday corporate worship. If you are gifted in this area and interested to serve and grow together, please contact Sam at samjclee@citylifeboston.org.

With Boston being a college city, there is a sense of transience in the university sphere. We hope to be a church that pours and invests into our college students despite the fleeting reality of their time in Boston.
There are currently 4 primary college-campus based Community Groups that are always ready to receive and give back to the community, consisting of: @citylifebc, @citylifefenway, @citylifewellesley, and @citylifetufts.
There are also recurring events, such as City Night Fellowships or Seasonal Retreats.
If you have a heart to disciple, pour into, or support our university students through the aforementioned channels, do not hesitate in reaching out to university@citylifeboston.org.
